What a difference a few weeks makes!
A month or so ago Ken was busy working at the Essex Junction RV and Camping show. He enjoyed seeing many familiar faces and meeting lots of new folks. Fast forward to Spring, and with it has come so many unforeseen changes. The National Emergency we are facing is unprecedented. We are all trying to learn the new normal of social distancing and enhanced awareness of hygiene to not only protect ourselves, but everyone else we encounter.
At Abel Mountain we are proceeding with our scheduled opening of May 8th. With luck the weather will continue to cooperate so we can get over to start the arduous task of cleaning up from a long winter. With the new normal, however, we are trying to wrap our brains around what changes that will mean for us as we go forward. We may need to make adjustments to activity schedules, cleaning schedules, amenities and even check in procedures. As we work through all of this we will keep you up to date on our Facebook page. If you haven’t liked us yet, please do so to keep up to date.
Although we will be facing some changes, rest assured that Abel Mountain will continue to be the peaceful haven so many of you know and love. We may have to stand farther apart when talking and not gather in large groups, but we can still enjoy each other’s company, the beautiful property and all the benefits nature has to offer.
Stay well, our friends, we hope to see you soon!
Looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to unwind? You’ve come to
the right place!
Only minutes off the highway, yet a quiet secluded haven, Abel
Mountain Campground is nestled along the third branch of the
White River and has 270 acres of trails. One hundred thirty-one
